Glasgow Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar’s performance in the Old Firm derby did not impress Chris Sutton.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has criticised Niko Kranjcar’s performance for Rangers in the Old Firm derby in The Daily Record.
Kranjcar featured for Rangers against Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
The former Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder started the match and played for 45 minutes.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton told The Daily Mail that he took off the 32-year-old Croatian player because he had been booked.
Former Celtic striker Sutton, though, believes that Kranjcar was substituted because he did not play well in the first half.

“Niko Kranjcar is another one who was a lovely player but he looked like he was in the wrong movie at Parkhead,” Sutton wrote in The Daily Record.
“Warburton should spare us the waffle about taking him off because he was on a booking. Kranjcar was hooked because he was playing poorly.”

Not many will have expected Rangers to win against Celtic at Celtic Park, but the way the Gers suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat still came as a surprise.
Big-name signings such as Kranjcar and Joey Barton failed to perform against the Gers.
It will now be interesting to see how Rangers bounce back and what changes manager Warburton makes to the team.
Rangers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ross County at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
