Chris Sutton can’t believe just how good ‘absolutely sensational’ Leeds player is

Chris Sutton has raved about Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on BBC Radio 5 Live.

The former Celtic and Chelsea striker was impressed by the performance of Bamford during Leeds’s win against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League at the weened.

The BBC pundit was blown away by the runs of the 27-year-old striker and could not believe just how good his movement is.

Sutton said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Bamford came on at half time. I have got to say. Sitting at pitch level, watching his movement close up, he is not the quickest, but he is a brilliant mover, the timing of his runs, absolutely sensational.”

Finally.

Bamford is now getting the credit he deserves.

There has always been criticism that the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker misses chances.

That might be true, but there are other sides to Bamford’s game.

The runs that the striker makes and his movements are hugely important to the way Leeds player under head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

The former Chelsea and Forest striker scored 17 goals in the Premier League this season.

The only English player to score more goals than Bamford this campaign was Tottenham striker Harry Kane (23).

Bamford also provided seven assists in the league this season.

Bamford is the first-choice striker at Leeds, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
