Should Manchester City make a move for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney in the summer transfer window?

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has told BT Sport that Manchester City should make a move for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney in the summer transfer window.

The former Celtic star rates 19-year-old left-back Tierney highly, and believes that he is one of the brightest prospects in Great Britain.

“The left-back Kieran Tierney,” Sutton told BT Sport while suggesting City to make a move for Tierney. “I got Van Dijk right, I am right about Kieran Tierney, he is one of the best prospects in Britain.”

Tierney is one of the best young players in Scotland and has established himself as a key figure in the current Celtic team.

The 19-year-old left-back has already played for the Scotland national football team, and it is clear that he has a bright future ahead of him.

City would be wise to make a move for the teenager in the summer transfer window, although it remains to be seen if Celtic would be willing to part company with the defender.

Moreover, the Citizens would face stiff competition. The Mirror recently claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing Tierney from Celtic in the summer transfer window, while The Daily Star has credited Manchester United with interest in the Scotland international left-back.
