Writing in his BBC Sport predictions column, Chris Sutton has been previewing this weekend’s north London Derby.

Arsenal face Tottenham on Saturday afternoon in what is one of the most eagerly-anticipated fixtures of the season.

There are plenty of sub-plots heading into this game, and one main talking point is the form of Heung-Min Son.

The South Korean failed to score in each of his first six appearances this season, leading to the attacker being dropped against Leicester City, before coming off the bench to score a hat-trick.

The decision to drop Son was a controversial one, and while Sutton isn’t a Spurs fan, he had plenty to say about this call, stating that he was really angry about Son being left out against Leicester due to his Fantasy Football team.

Sutton’s Son gripe

The pundit shared why he was annoyed about Son being dropped.

“Spurs also have Son Heung-min up and running after his hat-trick off the bench against Leicester before the international break. Son is in my Fantasy team, so I was really angry when he was dropped – but then changed my mind when he came on. It was a masterclass from Antonio Conte to wait and bring him on,” Sutton wrote.

Good return anyway

Sutton may have initially have been annoyed about Son being left on the bench, but we’re sure he was all smiles come the final whistle.

Son was immense against Leicester, netting a wonderful hat-trick against the Foxes and returning a healthy number of points for any Fantasy Football players who kept the faith in the 30-year-old.

That performance against Leicester could be the spark that ignites Son’s season, and we’re sure that Arsenal are acutely aware of the threat the attacker will pose in the derby this weekend.
