Chris Sutton has told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club that he does not think any Arsenal attacker gets into Tottenham’s front three – claiming he prefers Dejan Kulusevski to Bukayo Saka. The race for fourth is still alive.

The two sides go head to head on Thursday night, in what is one of the most-important North London derbies in decades. Four points separate the two sides, with Spurs sitting in fifth – but Spurs boast home advantage.

It is an intriguing clash, one that is likely to be determined by either club’s attackers, the sides are likely to be compared as they always are in the lead-up to what is a rearranged fixture. Tottenham need to win the game.

They will need Kulusevski, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane firing on all cylinders to put Arsenal’s defence to the sword. Sutton believes Spurs’ front three is better than any Arsenal attackers – naming Kulusevski and Saka.

“There’s not one Arsenal player I could see who would get in front of Kane, Son and Kulusevski,” Sutton said on The Monday Night Club, ahead of Thursday night’s derby clash in London. “I prefer Kulusevski (over Saka.)”

Sutton on Saka, Kulusevski: Which is best – Arsenal or Tottenham ace?

Saka has been immense this season – having a hand in 18 goals during his 40 games; 12 goals, six assists. Kulusevski has three goals and eight assists, 11 involvements, in 17 games. They are similar in terms of stats.

When it comes to style of player, it is less similar. Both have incredible speed and end product. Saka is a year younger, only turning 21 in September while £25m (Football London) Kulusevski turned 22 on April 25.

Two crucial elements back up Sutton’s claim. Saka does take penalties at the moment, meaning he has more of a chance of goals – while Kulusevski is strong and brilliant in the air. So, Kulusevski might just shade it.
