Chris Sutton is hoping Celtic get drawn with Arsenal in the Europa League.

Celtic qualified for the Europa League last night… but it was far from impressive.
Brendan Rodgers’ side were beaten 1-0 by Anderlecht, making it three home losses from three group games, including a 5-0 mauling by PSG.
There was also a 7-1 away loss in Paris for Celtic, but the 3-0 away win at Anderlecht back in September was enough to take them through in third place.

For Celtic, it is gradual progress, having finished fourth in their group last year, this year they finished third and qualified for Europe’s secondary competition.
Now they are hoping for a favourable draw in the Europa League when it resumes in 2018.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton wants them to draw an English club… of which there is only one remaining after Everton’s elimination.
Sutton told BT Sport: “I’d love Celtic to draw an English team, Arsenal, and wham them… let’s hope they draw them.”
Arsenal are in the Europa League for the first time this season and have qualified from their group with a game to spare.
Celtic would go into a tie as underdogs, but with a point to prove that they can compete with one of England’s top clubs.
