Newcastle United recorded their first three points of the season by beat Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

Chris Sutton sarcastically stated on Twitter that Steve Bruce must have ‘warmed up’ his Newcastle players ‘properly’ before their win against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
Last Saturday, Bruce’s side suffered an away defeat at newly-promoted Norwich, with Teemu Pukki netting a hat-trick and Paul Dummett admitting after the game that the warm-up ‘wasn’t even right’, as quoted by the Sheild Gazette.
Well, it seems as though former Premier League striker, Sutton has take to his personal Twitter account to mock those comments after their win at Tottenham.
Robbie Savage also shared his thoughts on the win, after he seemingly was answering Bruce’s critics by stating on Twitter that his former manager ‘doesn’t know what he’s doing’.
It was a deserved victory for Bruce’s side because they defended very well against a Spurs team that looked toothless in attack.
Christian Eriksen didn’t start the encounter, but even when he came onto the field of play in the second half, he wasn’t able to help his team put the ball into the back of the net.
There was a lot made of Newcastle’s performance against Norwich, as the players work ethic was questioned, as was Bruce himself.
But that was a fine way to prove their worth, for now, as Newcastle put their first points on the board after three Premier League matches.
