Chris Sutton denies he was being pro-Celtic and simply stating the facts about Rangers.
Chris Sutton gave his cutting thoughts on Dave King’s outburst against Celtic at the weekend to the Scottish Sun, telling the paper that Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has been put in a tough position.
King had told Rangers’ website that Celtic’s title victories when Rangers were outside the top flight ‘did not count’, and the Light Blues would be back to take their crown.
Chris Sutton won titles with Celtic as a player
Sutton was an outspoken critic of Rangers last season but the former Celtic striker insists he is not biased – and simply tells it as it is.
He was taken to task by Rangers fans on Twitter as a result, and defended himself from a stream of criticism.
With Rangers finishing so far off the pace last season, whatever Sutton’s previous regarding his criticism of the club, any comments at this point are easy for him to justify.

There may be more to Halliday’s omission though than initially met the eye.
