Sutton believes Aston Villa are play-off bound.
Chris Sutton at Aston Villa
Former Aston Villa striker Chris Sutton has given his snap prediction as to how the club will get on this coming campaign.
He was speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club (1/8) at 7pm, and discussing their fortunes with former Villa boss Paul Lambert.
It was in response to a prediction from ex-Blackpool and Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway, who told SkySports he believed Villa will finish 16th, and that was his generous prediction.

Sutton responded with disdain for that prediction, commenting: “That is ridiculous from Holloway, I think they’ll finish in the play-offs.”
Sutton featured for Villa at the tail end of his career in 2006/07 before retiring due to injury.
Lambert went onto state he predicted Villa would be one of the three favourites to go up, along with fellow relegated sides Newcastle United and Norwich City.
Holloway’s prediction had also drawn the ire of Villa owner Tony Xia, who launched a twitter tirade at the pundit, before deleting his message, The Mail reported.
