Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers drew 1-1 with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Steven Gerrard was denied an opening-day win as Rangers manager by Aberdeen today.
The 10-man Gers looked on course for a superb three points after James Tavernier had given them a 1-0 lead after half-an-hour played in their Premiership opener at Pittodrie.
However, The Dons equalised in the dying stages to snatch a point and spare their own blushes, having had a man advantage for the vast majority of the game.
Alfredo Morelos was harshly sent off on 18 minutes for kicking out at Scott McKenna – an incident that Chris Sutton described as “petulant”.
Naturally, Gerrard and Rangers fans will be devastated after having being denied two points and although it might feel like a defeat, it was a moral victory for the visitors.
Much was made over the fact that the Liverpool icon had never managed a senior team before taking the reins at Ibrox, but this result, combined with their stellar Europa League displays thus far, indicate that he has the mettle needed to succeed.
