Pundit questions why Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to join Arsenal.

The prolific Bundesliga striker is keen on an exit from the club after falling foul of the club’s disciplinary rules.
The Gabon forward would be a terrific signing for Arsenal and alleviate the pressure on Alexandre Lacazette after his recent struggles.

Sutton has questioned Aubameyang’s potential move, which may be dependent on Alexis Sanchez’s exit.
He said: “I am surprised that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would want to join a club in such a state.
“Even if he does sign, Arsenal are still yet to address the frailties in their defence or their soft centre in midfield.”

Arsenal would still have issues to address, but their attack is not as fearsome as it once was during their glory years and Aubameyang is proven against Premier League defences, scoring past Tottenham and Liveprool over the past 12 months.
Sutton’s comments miss the point that Aubameyang is being lured by Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, who signed him for Borussia Dortmund.
The Gunners are also hoping to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United, who Aubameyang played with at Dortmund.
Joining Arsenal is certainly not the easy option for Aubameyang, but the striker’s desire to get out of Dortmund appears his major motivation.
