Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this evening.

Celtic were not expected to win or even draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League this evening.
As good as Celtic are in the Scottish Premiership, the Bhoys are not at the level of Bayern, and that showed at the Allianz Arena in the Group B game.
The German giants took the lead after just 17 minutes when Thomas Muller found the target.
Joshua Kimmich doubled the advantage for the Bundesliga outfit just before the half-hour mark, and Mats Hummels wrapped up the scoring in the opening minutes of the second period.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton was doing the co-commentary of the match on BT Sport/ESPN and said during injury time: “What Celtic will have to do is pick themselves up, dust themselves up because they go again on Saturday.”

Celtic could not match Bayern at all at the Allianz Arena and did not deserve to get anything from the match.
However, given the gulf in class between the two teams, the Glasgow giants’ fans should not be too disappointed.
Brendan Rodgers’s side can still finish third in Group B and progress to the Europa League.
Celtic will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
