Chris Sutton has taken a dig at Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers on Twitter, asking if he now regrets leaving Celtic.

The former Celtic striker made the comment on Twitter after Leicester failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

The Foxes have suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of United at the King Power Stadium in the league this evening.

The result means that Leicester have finished fifth in the league table this season with 62 points from 38 matches, four fewer points than United and Chelsea, who have ended up third and fourth respectively in the standings.

Rodgers was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer of 2016 and left the Glasgow giants for Leicester in the Premier League in February 2019.

During his time at Celtic Park, the former Liverpool boss won the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup twice each, and the Scottish League Cup thrice.

Having won the Scottish Premiership title under manager Neil Lennon last season, the Hoops will stand a chance of qualifying for the Champions League in 2020-21.
