Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos getting a three-match ban.

Rangers striker Morelos will miss the Ibrox club’s next three matches, according to BBC Sport.

The Colombia international was sent off during Rangers’ Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen in midweek.

Steven Gerrard’s side appealed against the red card, but it has been rejected at a judicial panel hearing on Friday, according to BBC Sport.

This means that Morelos will now miss Rangers’ Scottish Cup last-16 tie against Kilmarnock and the Gers’ next two Scottish Premiership matches.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the ban handed to Morelos.

Big blow for Rangers

Morelos missing the tie against Kilmarnock is a big blow to Rangers’ chances of winning the game and progressing further in the Scottish Cup.

The 22-year-old striker missing league matches against St Johnstone and Hamilton Academical means that the Gers will have to make do without their best striker, as they continue to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.

The youngster has scored 15 goals in the league for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored, and he will be missed.
