BBC pundit Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter in order to praise Everton’s move to keep hold of striker Romelu Lukaku, and hailed manager Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees grabbed their first win of the new Premier League season by beating West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, with goals from Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry scoring to snatch a comeback victory.

Following a 1-1 draw with Tottenham on the opening day of the season, Everton are showing real signs of improvement under new boss Ronald Koeman – and they had more good news on Saturday evening.
Shortly after Everton’s win over West Brom, Koeman confirmed to The Mirror that striker Romelu Lukaku is staying at the club this summer.

The Belgian, 23, has been at Goodison Park for the last three years having penned a permanent move following a season-long loan spell from Chelsea during the 2013/14 campaign, and he’s smashed 61 goals in 127 games.
After a 25-goal campaign, speculation surrounded Lukaku’s future on Merseyside. The London Evening Standard recently claimed that Lukaku wanted a return to Chelsea this summer, having failed to make an impact in his first spell at Stamford Bridge.

However, Lukaku is now staying with Everton in a major boost for Koeman, and the news prompted a response from BBC pundit Chris Sutton on Twitter.
The former Premier League striker was impressed with Everton’s intentions, and noted that the Toffees now have a ‘proper manager’ in charge after Koeman replaced the divisive Roberto Martinez this summer.
