The Toffees went down 2-1 to French club Lyon at Goodison Park in Europa League Group E.
The defeat means that Ronald Koeman’s side are now at the foot of the league table with just one point from three matches.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Gooodison Park on Thursday evening, hosts Everton had 55% of the possession, took 16 shots of which five were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Lyon had 45% of the possession, took 14 shots of which six were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
Everton will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Arsenal at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
