Celtic put one foot in the knockout stages of the Europa League with a superb win in Norway.
Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to react to Celtic’s victory over Rosenborg on Thursday which has seen Brendan Rodgers’ side put one foot in the knockout stages of the Europa League – and the pundit could not resist another dig at Rangers.
The Hoops are now three points clear of RB Leipzig heading into the final round of games after Scott Sinclair’s header shortly before the break saw Rodgers’ men claim a 1-0 win.
With Leipzig losing in Salzburg, Celtic know that they only need a point from their final group game to guarantee that they will reach the last 32 of the competition. They can still go through after a defeat against the group winners, but they will be relying on Rosenborg to deny the Bundesliga side victory.

And after the full-time whistle, Sutton lauded the performance from the Bhoys, while he also took a swipe at Rangers as the discussions regarding the Old Firm ticket allocations continue…
Given Leipzig’s quality, it would be a huge statement from Celtic if they manage to hold onto second spot and get through. They have done incredibly well to bounce back from losing two of their first three games, and progressing will provide a huge boost heading into the second-half of the season.
