Celtic won the Betfred Cup by beating Motherwell 2-0 at Hampden Park.

Chris Sutton has praised Celtic winger James Forrest for his performance in the Scottish League Cup final.
Celtic retained the Betfred Cup by beating Motherwell 2-0 at Hampden Park, as they continued their dominance over Scottish football.
Forrest caused Motherwell’s defence a torrid time throughout the match, and Sutton was very impressed by the Celtic winger.
From the moment Celtic scored their first goal in the match, they never looked back.
Forrest opened the scoring for Celtic with a tidy finish, before Moussa Dembele wrapped the points up from the penalty spot.

Forrest’s performance in the contest has highlighted his improvement over recent times, with the winger flourishing under Brendan Rodgers’ leadership.
Celtic have now won all four domestic trophies available to them since Rodgers took charge at the start of last season, and the Northern Irish boss is still yet to taste defeat against Scottish opposition.
