Celtic have announced that they have signed Oliver Burke on loan until the end of the season.

Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to comment on the announcement that Celtic made on their official website that the Hoops have signed Oliver Burke on a loan deal until the end of the season – but he is seemingly not getting carried away by the news.
Burke has become the Hoops’ first signing of the window after joining Brendan Rodgers’ side from West Brom. It has not been the easiest time for the winger.
He has barely featured for Darren Moore’s side this season, and has unquestionably struggled to vindicate the Baggies’ decision to spend £15 million on signing him from RB Leipzig (fee reported by BBC Sport).
But the Scotland international boasts a lot of potential and the Parkhead faithful will be hoping that he can make an impact during the second-half of the season, especially with Rangers wasting little time getting stuck into the transfer market.

And with Rangers winning the most recent Old Firm game quite convincingly, Sutton has made it clear how important it is that Rodgers gets serious backing in the January window if Celtic hope to maintain their dominance after a very underwhelming summer.

And following the news that Burke has joined on loan, Sutton took to social media. He appears to give the signing his backing, but clearly does not think that Celtic can afford to not do any more business this month.
