Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to comment on the lineup that Brendan Rodgers has picked for the first-leg of Celtic’s Europa League play-off tie with Suduva on Thursday, and suggested that he was pleased with the selections of two players in particular.

The Hoops will be hoping that they can pick up a positive result in Lithuania ahead of the rematch at Parkhead next week. They will also be looking to get some of the momentum back that was lost with their defeat to AEK Athens in the Champions League qualifiers.

Rodgers has made four changes from the side that lost in Greece last week. Kristoffer Ajer replaces Jack Hendry at the heart of the defence, while Cristian Gamboa comes in for Mikael Lustig at right-back.

The Swede undoubtedly endured a miserable evening last week and many of the fans were urging Rodgers to hand Gamboa a chance to prove himself.

Meanwhile, Mikey Johnston comes in for Tom Rogic. Rogic is obviously capable of brilliance on his day, but he was another player who did not impress against AEK. He did however, score one of the Hoops’ goals in their League Cup win at the weekend.

And the final change involves the two men who scored the other goals at Partick on Saturday, with Moussa Dembele replacing Leigh Griffiths up front.
