Rangers fell flat at Ibrox today, losing 2-0 to Celtic.

Celtic laid down a marker in the battle for the Scottish Premiership title by beating rivals Rangers 2-0 in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
The Bhoys were under pressure heading into the game, as many had backed Rangers to launch a major battle for the title this season.
However, Neil Lennon’s side stamped their authority on the game with a superb display, and took the lead when Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring from Mikey Johnston’s pass.
Rangers couldn’t really get back into the game even after bringing Alfredo Morelos, and they were hit on the break late on as Jonny Hayes made it 2-0.
Rangers’ misery was compounded by Jordan Jones picking up a straight red card late on, and it’s a day for all those connected with Celtic to celebrate.

At full time, ex-Celtic striker and current pundit Chris Sutton did just that, pointing out that Celtic won the game 2-0 at Ibrox when it mattered.
That’s a reference back to when Rangers beat Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox back in May, seemingly suggesting that particular Old Firm game didn’t matter, which is up for debate, but Sutton is at least happy with today’s result.
