Chris Sutton reacts on Twitter as Celtic re-sign Patrick Roberts.

Celtic have re-signed Patrick Roberts from Manchester City.
The 20-year-old winger has joined Celtic on a season-long loan, having impressed for the Hoops on a previous 18-month spell from the Premier League giants.

Roberts scored nine times and set up 10 goals in 20 Premiership starts last season, while also impressing in their Champions League campaign.
You will do well to find any Celtic fan who isn’t delighted at his return – and that includes Chris Sutton, who took to Twitter to celebrate the news.

Sutton had previously claimed that he had it on “good authority” that the Man City talent was set to re-sign, though that was over a week ago but it seems like the former Hoops man was correct.
Brendan Rodgers’s side, who won a domestic treble last season, probably don’t need Roberts domestically, given their superiority, but his return will certainly boost their hopes of enjoying a better Champions League campaign compared to last time around.
Jonny Hayes and Olivier Ntcham are good players – especially the latter – but Roberts has six big European games under his belt and he might be the Hoops’ most important signing of the summer if they want to make progress in Europe’s elite competition.
