Glasgow Rangers have appealed the red card shown to Ibrox star Alfredo Morelos.

Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to comment on Rangers’ decision to appeal the red card that was shown to Alfredo Morelos during the Gers’ win on Wednesday night.
Morelos was sent off during the second-half of Steven Gerrard’s side’s 4-2 win on Wednesday night. The striker – who had scored twice during the first-half – clashed with Scott McKenna.
Both players seemed to aim a kick at each other. And while neither seemed to make a lot of contact with the other, it was arguably not a huge surprise when Bobby Madden sent both men off.
But Rangers appear to feel that they have a case to have the decision overturned. BBC Sport reports that they have appealed the red card – and that prompted Sutton to take to social media to make his thoughts on the situation known.

Sutton was baffled by the decision not to retrospectively punish Morelos after the Old Firm game in December following clashes with Scott Brown, Ryan Christie and Anthony Ralston.
And following the news that Rangers will now appeal Morelos’ red card from Wednesday, he hinted that he could see the decision being overturned – though he clearly feels that the striker would be incredibly lucky to avoid a suspension.
