Celtic have been handed a fairly daunting tie against Valencia in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Chris Sutton has suggested that Celtic have been handed a tough draw in the last 32 of the Europa League, but insisted that Valencia are not a team for Brendan Rodgers’ men to fear.
The Hoops have been rewarded for their qualification out of the group-stages with a clash with Los Che. Rodgers’ men went through in dramatic fashion as Rosenborg scored a late equaliser to deny RB Leipzig the chance to move above the Bhoys in their group.
Valencia meanwhile, have joined the competition after coming third in their Champions League group. They took four points from their two games with Manchester United but finished two adrift of Jose Mourinho’s men.
But while they came fairly close to progressing in the Champions League, their league form will certainly give Celtic plenty of hope heading into the games next February.

Remarkably, Valencia have drawn 10 of their opening 16 league games. With three wins and three defeats, they find themselves 14th in the table just five points above the relegation zone.
They are also the lowest scorers in the division. The two sides last met back in 2001 when the competition was known as the UEFA Cup, and it was Valencia who went through on that occasion as both legs ended in 1-0 wins for the home side before the Spaniards won on penalties.
