Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Celtic being crowned champions of Scotland ahead of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
The former Celtic striker has congratulated the Hoops on making it nine Scottish Premiership titles in a row.
Sutton has also seemed to have taken a cheeky dig at Rangers, adding that the Gers could not come close to catching the Hoops.
Before the decision to call off the campaign, Celtic were as many as as 13 points clear of second-placed Rangers, who had played a game fewer than Neil Lennon’s side.
As reported by BBC Sport, the SPFL have ended the Scottish Premiership season early due to the global health crisis.
SPFL have announced that the final league table has been decided on points per game basis.
This means that Celtic have been crowned champions of the Scottish Premiership and Rangers have finished second, while Heart of Midlothian have been relegated to the Scottish Championship.
Clubs in Scotland will now be looking towards the summer transfer window and towards next season.
Rangers will be determined to stop Celtic from winning the league title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
