Chris Sutton has hailed Aston Villa for appointing Steve Bruce.

Pundit and former Aston Villa striker Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to offer his reaction to Steve Bruce’s appointment at Villa Park.
On Wednesday evening, Villa named Bruce as their new manager, just over a week after sacking Roberto Di Matteo for winning just one of his first 11 Champions games.

With Di Matteo leaving Villa in 19th place in the Championship table, Bruce has a big task on his hands to turn Villa around, with the ultimate target of a top six finish and a shot at promotion back to the Premier League.
Bruce, 55, is perfectly qualified for the job though, having won four promotions to the Premier League over the course of his extensive managerial career.

The appointment appears to have gone down well with Villa fans, despite Bruce’s links with fierce rivals Birmingham City, and the move has now been hailed by BBC pundit and former Villa ace Chris Sutton.
Sutton took to Twitter on Wednesday evening, shortly after Bruce’s appointment, to state that he feels Villa have made a good move.

Sutton noted that Bruce’s track record and man-management skills make him ideal for the job, whilst he also believes that Bruce will have a positive impact on playmaker Jack Grealish, who has been a wayward character in recent years.
