Chris Sutton has suggested in The Daily Mail that Nottingham Forest will lose to Arsenal at home this afternoon.

Championship outfit Forest will take on Premier League club Arsenal at the City Ground in the third round of the FA Cup later today..

Former Celtic and Chelsea striker Sutton believes that the Reds will fail to win against the Gunners.

Sutton wrote in The Daily Mail: “Arsene Wenger has never been knocked out in the third round and I cannot see Forest catching him cold on Sunday.

“Wenger will likely field his ‘B’ team at the City Ground and I would expect the likes of Theo Walcott to come in.

“Forest are searching for a new manager having sacked Mark Warburton and Arsenal will be too strong for them.”

Chris Sutton of Celtic slips and kicks his penalty over the bar during The Tennents Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Dundee United at Hampden Park on May 28, 2005 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Forest are not having a good season in the Championship and are unlikely to finish in the playoffs during the 2017-18 campaign.

Given that the Reds are only eight points above the relegation zone, they are still in danger of suffering relegation to League One at the end of the season – although that is unlikely given the quality of players they have.

The Reds are probably not going to be too concerned about the FA Cup, although the fans will want the players to at least give it a go against Arsenal given that the match is at the City Ground.

However, it is hard to see the North London outfit lose to Forest at the City Ground even if Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger decides to use his fringe players.
