Tottenham Hotspur have begun life at their new stadium with two wins, including beating Manchester City on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Chris Sutton has praised Tottenham trio Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko and Kieran Trippier for the manner in which they performed during their side’s 1-0 Champions League first-leg win over Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The BBC Sport pundit, in particular, lauded the turnaround of the once ‘laughing stock’ Sissoko and credited him for his display in the middle of the park.
There were a number of talking points during the game, but it was Heung-Min Son who scored the only goal of the game late in the second half to give his team a huge advantage.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (09/04/2019 at 10:20 pm), former Premier League striker, Sutton mentioned the trio in question and how they were all well drilled.
“I thought Dele Alli had a good game,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Sissoko in the middle of the park he’s such a good player. When you think when he first arrived at Spurs big money they spent, he was mocked, he was a bit of a laughing stock. How he has turned that around!
“You look at that matchup, Sterling vs Trippier. Trippier hasn’t had a very good season and to be fair to him, he stuck to his task very, very well. City are always looking for those balls in between the fullback and centre-half, but Tottenham were so well drilled and they kept them out pretty comfortably.”

In the game itself, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero saw his penalty kick saved by Hugo Lloris early in the first half with the away team failing to really create constant chances from open play.
After the break, Harry Kane had to go off injured with what looked like a very worrying injury but that did not stop Spurs from picking up the victory.
It now means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won both their games at their new stadium and are yet to concede a goal with already-relegated Huddersfield paying a visiting in the Premier League on Saturday.
