Celtic’s Tom Rogic reminded everyone of his class on Sunday.

Chris Sutton has written in The Daily Record that Tom Rogic underlined his importance for Celtic with his wonder goal against Rangers on Sunday.

Josh Windass had fired Rangers into a 1-0 lead over the Hoops but Rogic saw to it that the lead was shortlived, curling home a wonderful equaliser from outside the box.

The Australia international has been missing for most of the calendar year through injury, but the timing and fashion of his equaliser was a big reminder as to his talents.

And former Celtic striker Sutton praised him afterwards.

“They found a way to win and that’s so important. Moussa Dembele again came up with a big goal after Rogic cancelled out that early opener from Josh Windass,” he told The Daily Record.

“I mentioned in my Record Sport column on Saturday how big a player Rogic is for Celtic and it was a superb finish from the Australian.”

Celtic, who went down to 10 men early in the second half after a wild elbow from Jozo Simunovic, went on to grab the winner through Odsonne Edouard who, like Rogic, also curled home a stunner.

In doing so, Edouard fired the Hoops nine points clear of second-placed Rangers and it looks like a seventh successive Premiership title is all but guaranteed.
