Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Bruno Alves has been ruled out of the game due to a calf injury, as reported by STV, meaning that McCrorie could start against the Hoops.
The 19-year-old has yet to make his debut in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers, but the defender featured in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final tie against Partick Thistle away from home at the Firhill Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Scotland Under-21 international played well in the tie, and the youngster could start the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox.
Former Celtic striker Sutton has suggested that the match at Ibrox could be the making of McCrorie.
Dumbarton striker Christian Nade has also backed the Rangers teenager to play well against Celtic.
The 33-year-old played with the youngster when he was on loan at Dumbarton during the second half of the 2016-17 campaign.
“I was impressed with the young lad Ross McCrorie when he came on against Partick Thistle in midweek and it will be interesting to see if Pedro plays him after his praise of the youngster,” Sutton wrote in The Daily Record.
“They had David Bates and Myles Beerman last season who struggled but McCrorie did well at Firhill and this could be the making of him.”
“The Celtic match is a big game but I think he’ll be fine,” Nade told The Scotsman. “He’ll show he can do it, he’ll show he’s a good player and I’m sure he’ll try to forget the atmosphere. He’s got nothing to lose.
“We all know that Celtic is a really strong team, so he’ll just have to play his game and I’ll sure he’ll be fine. He’s got a good head on his shoulders so I don’t think the extra attention will be an issue.”
