Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers have brought Glenn Middleton to Ibrox from Norwich City.

The former Norwich City and Celtic striker rates 18-year-old winger Middleton highly.
Rangers signed the talented and promising youngster from Norwich in the Championship in England on January transfer deadline day.
Middleton has put pen to paper on an 18-month deal at Ibrox and has joined the Scottish Premiership club’s academy squad.
Former Celtic and Norwich striker Sutton has spoken highly of the youngster, and has outlined what the Rangers fans can expect from him.

“Good signing is Middleton, the lad from Norwich,” The Scottish Sun quotes Sutton as saying. “A lot of the farming community back in Norfolk are upset that he’s gone.
“He’s a good player – a player Murty would’ve known from his brief time at Norwich. It’s upset a few.
“He’s a good young talent, a winger who’ll get to the byline. It is a good, exciting signing.”

One for the future or instant impact?
Middleton is only 18 years of age, and Rangers were right not to throw him into the first team rightaway.
However, given that the youngster has signed an 18-month deal, perhaps the Gers do expect the teenager to step up in the coming months.
The 18-year-old is very talented, and he is certainly going to do his best to break into the Rangers first team and work with manager Graeme Murty, who is very good with young players.
