Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to praise Celtic’s “clever” new six-year deal for Kieran Tierney.

BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to praise Celtic’s “superb and clever business” in tying down Scottish wonderkid Kieran Tierney to a new six-year contract.
The 20-year-old full-back made his debut for the SPL outfit back in 2014 but broke into the Celtic first team back during the 2015/16 campaign, where he made 33 appearances for the senior side and has been one of the first names on the team sheet ever since.

Tierney is just four games away from a century of appearances for the club and has attracted interest from the likes of Spurs and Manchester United (The Sun) during his career in Scotland so far.
However, Celtic kept interest from Europe’s elite at bay last season and have been reaping the rewards so far this term, with The Bhoys seemingly on course for another SPL title.
As well as tying down arguably the club’s biggest asset, the new deal is a huge signal of intent from the club, who are looking to further compete on the European stage in the Champions League as well as the SPL.
