Scott Bain played well for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby.

The former Celtic striker was impressed with the display produced by Bain for the Hoops in the Old Firm derby against Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
Although the 26-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the Hoops on loan from Dundee in the January transfer window, conceded two goals, he made a number of good saves and played an important role in Brendan Rodgers’s side winning the Scottish Premiership game 3-2.
Sutton has praised Bain, who was making his debut for Celtic on Sunday afternoon, and has suggested that he could keep fellow goalkeeper Dorus de Vries out of the team.

“I was really impressed with him coming into such a big game at such short notice and he could have made the gloves his own in front of Dorus de Vries,” Sutton wrote about Bain in The Daily Record.
“Bain needs a run of games but was a big positive considering Celtic’s vulnerability at the back.
“The 26-year-old made a good save from Alfredo Morelos in one of Rangers’ squandered chances while there were even little things like a free-kick he caught when most goalkeepers would have tried to punch it.”

Scott Bain the number one for Celtic?
Bain played well against Rangers, and it would be harsh to drop the 26-year-old goalkeeper from the Celtic team now.
Celtic manager Rodgers now needs to include the former Aberdeen prospect in their upcoming matches and allow him to grow in confidence.
