Christopher Jullien joined Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the summer transfer window.
Chris Sutton has spoken highly of Celtic defender Christopher Jullien in The Daily Record.
The former Celtic striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has been impressed with what he has seen of Jullien for the Hoops.
Sutton wrote in The Daily Record: “In front of him, Christopher Jullien looks like he’s going to a rock for Celtic. It’s dangerous to go overboard on players early but my impression is he makes good decisions defensively.
“He attacks it at the right times and drops off at the right times. Jullien doesn’t like a bombscare to me. He has the makings of a leader and he was terrific back in his homeland.”
Good signing for Celtic
Jullien joined Celtic from Toulouse in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £7 million.
It took a while for the Frenchman to get going at the Glasgow giants, but the 26-year-old has now established himself as a key figure in Neil Lennon’s team.
The central defender played well against Rangers at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby, and he was also brilliant at the back against Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday.
Celtic had defensive issues last season, but with Jullien in the team, it seems that the Bhoys have solved that problem.
Celtic are aiming to win the domestic treble for the fourth season in a row, and are also looking to progress to the knockout stage of the Europa League.
