Pundit and ex-Celtic player Chris Sutton looks on prior to the Betfred Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on December 2, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic slipped up in the Scottish Premiership title race today as they were beaten 2-0 away at Hibernian this afternoon.

The Bhoys sat one point behind Kilmarnock heading into today’s game, meaning they knew they could reclaim top spot with a win.

However, Celtic completely flopped at Easter Road, as Lithuanian ace Vykintas Slivka scored inside a minute to put Hibs 1-0 up.

Celtic couldn’t haul themselves back into the game, and Florian Kamberi struck on the hour mark to seal Hibernian’s 2-0 victory.

Celtic’s defeat means that Rangers can now return to the top of the table with a win over Hamilton this afternoon, with Brendan Rodgers’ men continuing to leave the door ajar.

Ex-Celtic striker and current pundit Chris Sutton took to Twitter at half time to slate Rodgers’ side, claiming there are too many passengers in the team and spending must take place next month.

After the game, Sutton offered his instant reaction to the defeat, suggesting that Rodgers must take the blame for switching to a 3-5-2 system, blasting the lack of depth whilst criticising Scott Sinclair and Odsonne Edouard.
