Rangers continued their fine form in the Scottish Premiership with victory against St Johnstone.

Even Celtic legend Chris Sutton couldn’t ignore how impressive Rangers were in Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing of St Johnstone.
If Steven Gerrard’s side felt a little jaded after the energy-sapping triumph over Feyenoord in the Europa League just three days earlier, they didn’t show it during a fabulous second half performance at McDiarmid Park with Tommy Wright’s hosts put to the sword in style.
Alfredo Morelos was unstoppable once again, opening the scoring with a typical barnstorming run and thunderbolt finish. That was the Colombian’s 12th goal in 15 games in all competitions this season.

Jermain Defoe might have rolled back the years with two of the most clinical finishes off the bench but, while the veteran striker was left out of Sutton’s XI, the outspoken pundit did find a place for James Tavernier, Steven Davis and Allan McGregor, who made a stunning save from Michael O’Halloran with the score at 0-0.
Sutton was always going to add a dash of green to his weekly selection, however, with James Forrest and two-goal Odsonne Edouard included too after they combined to beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at Parkhead.
But Rangers fans still had one complaint to make; where on earth was the tireless, tenacious Ryan Jack?
