Chris Sutton has named Rangers trio Ross McCrorie, Daniel Candeias and Alfredo Morelos in his Scottish Premiership Team of the Week on Twitter, while two Celtic players also made the cut.

It was an important weekend for Steven Gerrard’s men as they beat Livingston 3-0 on Sunday to bounce back superbly from their disappointing defeat at Kilmarnock a few days earlier.

Goals from Ryan Jack, Ryan Kent and Morelos helped the Light Blues take the three points at one of the grounds where Gerrard’s side have been defeated this season.

Morelos was excellent leading the line, justifying Gerrard’s decision to leave Jermain Defoe out of the starting lineup for the trip to Livi. Meanwhile, Candeias’ energy made a big difference and McCrorie continues to prove why he can establish himself as a regular starter in an area of the squad where the Gers have so much depth.

Meanwhile, Celtic remain three points clear at the top of the table after thrashing Hamilton 3-0, with Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie and Scott Sinclair finding the back of the net.

Sinclair has also been rewarded with a spot in Sutton’s team, while it is Emilio Izaguirre who has got the nod at left-back.

It has not been an easy time for Izaguirre since his return to Parkhead. Replacing Kieran Tierney was always going to be a tough task, but the Honduran silenced a lot of his critics with his performance on Saturday.
