Celtic icon Chris Sutton has chosen his Scottish Premiership team of the week, overlooking all of Rangers weekend stars.

Celtic icon Chris Sutton has named two Hoops stars in his Scottish Premiership team of the week on Twitter, overlooking any Rangers players after their loss to Hamilton.
Sutton’s former side earned a 1-0 win over Ross County thanks to an exquisite Leigh Griffiths free-kick that curled into the top corner of Aaron McCarey’s goal, reminiscent of his two wonder strikes against England while on national team duty.
It saw the Hoops continue to strengthen their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and stretch their unbeaten domestic run to 64 matches, while interim boss Graeme Murty saw his side lose 2-0 to Hamilton.

That was reflected in Sutton’s team of the week, naming goalscorer Griffiths and Celtic fan favourite Kieran Tierney in the side, while no Rangers players were selected.
However, former Rangers ace David Templeton was named in the side after scoring one of Hamilton’s two goals, as well as Accies midfielder Greg Docherty. Motherwell striker Louis Moult also earned a place, after scoring twice against Aberdeen.
The weekend’s results see Rangers remain in fourth place and now nine points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic, while Aberdeen and Hibernian remain in second and third respectively.
Celtic will be preparing to face French giants Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night at Parc des Princes, before returning to Scottish action on Saturday with the League Cup final at Hampden Park against Moult’s Motherwell.
