Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers finished second behind Celtic last season.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has mocked Rangers manager Steven Gerrard on Twitter.
Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has ridiculed Gerrard for his recent comments on how Rangers would have won the Scottish Premiership title last season had matches finished after 86 minutes, as quoted in The Daily Record.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title last season for the eighth year in a row, while their bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers clinched the runners-up spot and finished nine points behind the Hoops.

Finishing matches
Rangers did push Celtic during the first half of last season, but Gerrard’s side failed to maintain their challenge after the mid-season winter break.
The Gers did not win enough matches and conceded far too many late goals last season, and that is an area that Rangers need to address this campaign.
Celtic, though, remain the side to beat, as the Hoops kicked off their league campaign in style on Saturday afternoon, hammering St. Johnstone 7-0 at Celtic Park.
