Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has mocked Rangers fans on social networking site Twitter.
Thousands of fans of the Glasgow giants have signed a petition demanding an end to “anti-Rangers refereeing” in Scotland, according to The Scottish Sun.
The petition was started following the Gers’ 3-2 defeat to Hibernian at Ibrox at the weekend in the Scottish Premiership.
Pedro Caixinha’s side played most of the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of the 25-year-old defensive midfielder Ryan Jack in the 36th minute.
The summer signing was shown a straight red card by referee John Beaton after a confrontation with Anthony Stokes late in the first half.
According to The Scottish Sun, thousands of Rangers fans have started a petition calling for the SFA to take action against referees, claiming that they are “fed up with anti-Rangers refereeing that is happening way too often”.
Former Celtic striker Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport. has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the petition and has mocked the Rangers fans.
The Englishman has also given his reaction to Hibernian’s defeat to Rangers on the social networking site, and so has former Hibs forward Tam McManus.
