Tottenham Hotspur have yet to make a signing in the summer transfer window.
Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has also claimed that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is concerned about lack of signings.
Spurs have yet to make a single signing in the summer transfer window, while they have also lost England international right-back Kyle Walker to Premier League title rivals Manchester City.

“I think he is worried, I think he is concerned,” said Sutton about Pochettino on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5live on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, July 31, 2017). “I think that the loss of Walker is a big loss.”
“With the stance they have taken, I hope they do well, but I think it may be a tough season for Tottenham,” added Sutton about Tottenham.

Tottenham finished second in the Premier League last season and third during the 2015-16 campaign.
The North London outfit have steadily progressed since Pochettino was appointed the manager in the summer of 2014.
Spurs fans should be confident and optimistic of yet another successful season, although it is going to be hard.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all will be aiming to win the Premier League title this season, while Everton will be challenging for the Champions League places.
