VAR caused a lot of controversies once again over the weekend, including in Liverpool’s game in the Midlands, and Tottenham Hotspur’s clash at Goodison Park.

BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton is adamant that Liverpool’s Sadio Mane is a diver, along with the likes of Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son and Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu.
All three were involved in incidents in the penalty area over the weekend, with Liverpool’s Mane booked for diving, Son having a penalty appeal waved off, and Deulofeu being awarded a spot-kick against Chelsea in controversial circumstances.
The talks of ‘going down too easily’ reared its ugly head again when Pep Guardiola accused Mane of doing just that [Sky Sports], as the Manchester City manager was seemingly playing mind games with his title rivals.
Speaking to the Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live (04/11/19 at 7:25 pm), Sutton was in no doubt that Mane does dive, along with a number of other players in the Premier League.
“All he [Guardiola] has done is put a seed in Michael Oliver’s [referee for Sunday’s game] mind,” Sutton told Radio 5 Live. “If there’s an incident with Sadio Mane, what’s he [the referee] going to do?
“Sadio Mane, is he a diver? Does he go down too easily? Yes, he does. You have to say it. There have been times when he has gone down too easily. And Pep has seen it that’s why he has said it.
“You have to make it a good one [if you dive]. You do! At the weekend, Son went down easily, in my opinion. Deulofeu [for Watford]. We have seen plenty of players do it this season. If you are going to do it make sure you don’t get caught.”

Liverpool are set to meet Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend, as Guardiola is trying to win some sort of advantage going into that match.
The Reds are six points clear at the top of the table and if they win that contest at Anfield then many more people will be backing them for the title.
Mane, who helped Liverpool secure a memorable late win against Aston Villa on Saturday, will be hoping to ensure City don’t close the gap at the top of the table.
