Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has included Rangers duo James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos in his Team of the Week in Scotland, as posted on Twitter.
Rangers right-back Tavernier and his Ibrox teammate and striker Morelos played well for Steven Gerrard’s side against Heart of Midlothian at the weekend.
The Gers got the better of Hearts 2-1 away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
While former Newcastle right-back Tavernier played well defensively and contributed in attack, Colombia international striker Morelos scored the winner for Rangers.
Sutton – in conjunction with BT Sport presenter Darrell Currie – has also included Celtic central defender Filip Benkovic and midfielders Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie in his Team of the Week.
Christie scored the winner in Celtic’s 1-0 victory over Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.
Benkovic – who joined Celtic on loan from Leicester City in the summer transfer window after moved to the Foxes from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £13 million – was brilliant at the back.
