Tottenham Hotspur are right in the mix for the Premier League title.

Pundit and ex-Celtic player Chris Sutton looks on prior to the Betfred Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on December 2, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Chris Sutton admitted that he doesn’t fancy Tottenham’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, suggesting that they will be kicking themselves for not strengthening during last month’s transfer window.

Spurs currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, five points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, and they have amazingly managed to keep pace with the leaders without arguably their two most important players.

Tottenham have one of the strongest first XI’s in Europe, but there are questions marks hanging over their head regarding whether or not they have enough strength-in-depth to mount a sustained challenge for major honours on all fronts.

And Sutton told the Daily Mail how the Lilywhites might just live to regret the fact that they did not made any new signings last month:

“They (Tottenham) have to be contenders, though I do not fancy their chances. I have a feeling they will be kicking themselves for not strengthening in January.”

Tottenham’s next three Premier League games could define their season.

Pochettino’s men face Leicester at home, before back-to-back away games against Burnley and Chelsea respectively, and they must surely be targeting at least seven points from those matches, if they are to keep pace with Liverpool and Manchester City.
