Glasgow Rangers attacker Josh Windass’ best position is on the wing at Ibrox, according to Chris Sutton.

Windass has predominantly played on the wing this season, but scored Rangers’ equaliser at Dens Park with a brilliant finish from the edge of the box after moving more into the centre.

But despite scoring the Gers’ goal in the 2-1 defeat, Sutton was adamant that the former Accrington Stanley’s best position is not just off the striker, but rather out in a wide area.
It would probably be no surprise if Windass stays as a winger as Sutton believes he should, simply because the Gers do not seem to have the depth out on the wing to be able to use the 23-year-old in another area of the pitch unless they change system.

But the goal should undoubtedly give Windass plenty of confidence as it was a brilliantly taken goal from the attacker, and it could be argued that previously, the key improvement that many thought he needed to make to his game was finding the back of the net more often.
And having shown at Accrington that he can be prolific once he finds his best form, Graeme Murty and perhaps the next Rangers boss will be hoping that he builds on his recent run and continues to find the back of the net with regularity.
