Chris Sutton has backed up recent comments made over Celtic and Rangers in the transfer market.
Chris Sutton is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers with his opinions, and Rangers supporters have been bearing the brunt in recent weeks.
The former Celtic striker has had a field day with his old side’s dominance this season, which culminated in a 2-1 win at Ibrox on New Year’s Day, their third win this season over the Gers.

Sutton told the Daily Record he wants Celtic to spend big and ‘finish’ Rangers’ renewed challenge early, using their financial advantage to grow an even greater disparity between the two clubs.
Accused by a Rangers fan of being a ‘bitter cheerleader’ for Celtic, Sutton insisted he had no hatred for Rangers and simply is calling it as he sees it.
Sutton drew comparisons between Celtic’s situation and Rangers in the 1990s, a time at which the Gers were able to extend their advantage over their rivals.
The first action for Celtic to take is to keep hold of their top talents like Moussa Dembele, who are attracting attention from clubs around Europe.
If they can do that then any players they add this January will only make them a more formidable force, and make their March clash with Rangers even tougher for Mark Warburton’s side to get a result from.
