Glasgow Rangers manager Graeme Murty and Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos’s comments have not impressed Chris Sutton.

Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and has been linked with a move away from Rangers.
According to The Daily Record, the Gers have turned down a bid of £7.5 million from Chinese club Beijing Renhe for the 21-year-old striker.
It has also been reported that the Ibrox club will offer the 2017 summer signing a new contract that will see his wages rise from £7000 per week.
Rangers manager Murty recently told The Daily Record that the bid from China had affected Morelos.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has criticised Murty for those comments, and has also criticised Morelos for his recent comments about his future (as quoted in The Daily Record).
Sutton wrote in The Daily Record: “It’s good for Rangers to keep hold of him but Morelos has to remember Rangers are also good for him.
“They have given him the platform to shine so there’s no need for him to be talking in the Colombian media about looking for an exit sooner rather than later.”
“I can’t help but think Graeme Murty made a bit of a mess of it this week when he said Morelos was confused with the transfer talk,” added Sutton.
“If Murty had left him on the bench at Fraserburgh and said nothing, no one would have thought anything about it. Jason Cummings needed a game and it was a chance to rotate the squad.
“Murty made it a story by saying his player had been spun by the telephone number wages being talked about it.”

Draw a line
For Rangers and Morelos, it is time to draw a line under the situation and move on.
The Gers need the 21-year-old to bang in the goals for the rest of the season, and they should not sell him even for £7.5m.
Perhaps in the summer Rangers and Morelos could decide on the striker’s future, but for now, the Ibrox club should keep hold of the Colombian.
