Chris Sutton isn’t very happy with Celtic hitman Leigh Griffiths.

Speaking to BT Sports, Chris Sutton has criticised Celtic hitman Leigh Griffiths for his “stupid antics” in Saturday’s 2-0 win away to Rangers at Ibrox.
The Hoops moved eight points clear of their bitter Old Firm rivals with a relatively comfortable win over Pedro Caixinha’s side this past weekend.
Tom Rogic opened the scoring early in the second half, before Griffiths doubled the advantage with a tidy finish shortly after the hour mark.

But the Scotland international, as he often does against Rangers, also made headlines for the wrong reasons and attempted to wind up the Gers’ faithful with a couple of minor incidents involving the home club’s corner flag.
Last season, Griffiths tied a Celtic scarf to one of the posts at Ibrox, before laying the same garment flat on the field in the wake of another win away to the Gers, and Sutton believes that the former Hibernian marksman ought to grow up.

“Leigh Griffiths, the great player that he is, I’m a huge fan of his but he has to stop these silly antics,” he told BT Sports.
“Tying a scarf round a post. He got banned from Rosenborg because of his stupid antics. It’s not befitting of a Celtic player to act that way. Leigh Griffiths needs to grow up.”
Unsurprisingly, Griffiths isn’t hugely popular among Rangers supporters, but he is adored by Bhoys’ fans for his capacity to wind up the old enemy and he is unlikely to change his ways any time soon, regardless of Sutton’s criticism of him.
