Chris Sutton has criticised Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’s decision to rotate his strikers this season.

Former Celtic striker turned football pundit Chris Sutton has criticised Brendan Rodgers for his rotation policy of using his two main strikers.
Recently several Celtic players have complained about feeling tired. Sutton believes that it is a mere excuse from the Bhoys and that it is nothing but mental blockage.
He claimed the Celtic strikers, on the contrary, have opposite problems. Rodgers has rotated his two strikers – Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele – and Sutton believes that by doing it he has “killed his frontmen” this season.

“The two strikers have looked weary in recent games, and Sutton points out that they have not got into any sort of rhythm as neither are getting a run of games in the side,” wrote Sutton in his column for the Scottish Daily Record.
“Being weary is certainly not a problem for the strikers – they have the opposite problems. You can’t be too critical of Brendan Rodgers at Celtic but for me he has killed his frontmen this term.
“He hasn’t hung his hat on any of them and as a result none of them look properly up to speed.
“I feel sorry for Leigh Griffiths and

. You can’t expect either of them to get in to any sort of rhythm when neither are getting a run of games in the side.”
No wonder they look off it at the moment, they’ve not had a chance to get that sharpness that every striker will tell you that they need.
Dembele has gone through a very frustrating season, managing only four goals in 13 league appearances so far, although he was injured for a long part.
Griffiths, on the other hand, has scored five league goals in 15 games. Celtic are still top of the Scottish Premier League table, but clearly their strikers have been below par this season.
