West Ham United spent £10 million on Robert Snodgrass only seven months ago.
Chris Sutton has told BT Sport Score that West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic will be questioning the club’s scouting system as a result of Robert Snodgrass’s plight.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave West Ham before the transfer window closes, with Sunderland, Newcastle United and Aston Villa said to be considering loan moves.
The Daily Record reported recently that the Scotland international would prefer a move to Newcastle if he had the option.

It has been a disappointing last seven months for the midfielder, who joined West Ham in a £10 million deal last January but zero goals and two assists in 15 Premier League outings has indicated that he is a tame replacement for Dimitri Payet.
And Sutton tells BT Sport Score that the Irons manager must be questioning his scouting network following the way in which Snodgrass has flopped in East London.
“Slaven Bilic doesn’t fancy him from what he’s seen in training,” he said. “He may be questioning the scouting network.”
Jose Fonte also joined in January and the Portuguese hasn’t been a huge success either, perhaps adding to Sutton’s suggestion.
Snodgrass has not featured in any of West Ham’s two Premier League games this season despite being fit to do so, another indicator that the Croatian manager will look to offload him before the window shuts.
Ideally, Bilic would probably rather sell him outright rather than lose him on loan. The Hammers have spent £40 million on transfer fees, but their wage bill is set to skyrocket after bringing in Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart on loan, Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic.
As a result, the purse strings may not be as loose as they once were this summer but recouping some of their £10 million on Snodgrass would help.
